I met Dogman at Camp Casey in Washington DC. As soon as I saw him I knew I had to get a good photograph of him. I think in total I took about 60 shots of him throughout the 3 days I was in DC. When I photograph people I really try not being noticed because I want to get people as candid as possible. I wish I could post every photo I took of Dogman but you know… Maybe 1 or 2 ;)

When: September 24th 2005
Where: Washington DC
What: The United for Peace and Justice Anti-War protest & march

Yes, there is definately a feeling of energy from this photograph of Dogman, that seems to make him come alive in this.

Very nice job

This is great! Another amazing photo from you! :+fav: I love the emotion that you captured. ... ANd just a note I think I have a pillow (that I made in 8th grade) with the same design as his bandana.

La verdad es a veces mentira, lo bueno malo, la amargura simpatía. El amor es a veces mentira, la pasión hastío, la tristeza alegría........ :blackrose:

Then take me disappearin' through the smoke rings of my mind,
Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves,
The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach,
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow.
love it.

just try to make it out alive.
Everything about this image is important -- the eyes looking downward, the closed fist, the slight trace of a smile (or perhaps it was the twist of a mouth feeling sadness). There is a sense of compassion and determination in his face, and the capture is wonderful. I'd be happy to see all 60, but whatever you choose to share would be great. Welcome back!

Something is always born of excess; great art was born of great terrors, great loneliness, great inhibitions, instabilities, and it always balances them. --Anais Nin
