Hear The Children

This past Wednesday moveon.org organized for the night a candle lit vigil to be held at many locations around the nation. I went to the one that was held in Fort Lauderdale near the Federal Court Building. As you can imagine Homeland Security Police were out in force getting on anyone that even came close to the building. Because I had a camera I was asked for my identification and then had to wait for a long while to get it back while they assessed the risk I may be. The photo of the woman being confronted by the Police was because her 2 year old child ventured too close to the building. Just so you know the building is about 10 feet from the sidewalk but it was the federal water fountain that was attracting the child and supposedly that was a huge federal no no… With the vigil being held in the evening the light was not very kind to me.
