I wish I knew her story. For some reason I am hesitant to talk with anyone while I am photographing, then when I get back home and view the photos on my computer, I wish so much that I had at least given my card to the people I had photographed so they could get a photo if they wanted. Maybe next time I will be more thoughtful of this
WHERE: Waterfront Park in Portland, Oregon WHAT: Protest marking the 3 year anniversary of the US lead Iraq invasion WHEN: March 19th 2006
A good photo can tell the story better then the person on it might be able to. Not as much in details, but in essence. I think you captured the most important elements of this person, so great job once again.
Fine photograph. You've managed to capture so much dignity and sorrow in the face. To me, this figure is humanity giving a presence to conscience. Great work.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
